Coronavirus Statement From Nippon Express

At Nippon Express, the health and safety of our staff, customers, suppliers and visitors has always been a priority.

Like all businesses in the UK, we are closely following the development of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and taking the advice of UK health authorities.

This message is to update you on the actions we are taking and let you know what you can do to keep yourself and others as safe as possible.

Actions We Are Taking:

  • In line with guidance issued by authorities, at Nippon Express we are taking the following steps to keep people on our premises safe:
  • Increasing the number of hand sanitisers and ensuring they are refilled regularly
  • Continuing to use commercial-grade liquid antibacterial products
  • Increasing the frequency of cleaning our high touch areas (doors, hand rails etc)
  • Continuing to remind all staff of the necessity on improving our already high hygiene standards
  • Restricting access to non employees to keep the number of persons on site to the necessary minimum
  • Suspending all unnecessary international travel

A Message For Our Customers and Suppliers:
We would like to extend our thanks to all of our customers for their support and patience in dealing with the uncertainty presented by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to all of our suppliers for their hard work in addressing the unprecedented challenges at this time.
Please be assured that Nippon Express are working hard to prevent any disruption to our normal service, this includes:

  • Having a diverse BCP team in place to monitor latest developments and liase with key suppliers and partners to facilitate our customers logistical needs
  • Use video conferencing for face to face meetings and ensuring our staff are still available when you need them
  • Enabling remote working capability (where possible) to reduce the number of employees working on site and ensuring that sufficient cover is available for any potential outbreak
  • Having plans in place to respond timely and adequately to the changing needs of the pandemic
